  6. fMSX Amiga is an Amiga port of fMSX UNIX. It emulates the MSX computer
  7. system. The emulation requires an 68020 and the v36 OS (or better). Fastram
  8. is not required but essential for good performance.

  10. 'MSX' is an 8-bit computer system with surprisingly good graphics and sound
  11. capabilities. MSX emulation is far easier than C64 emulation and can
  12. therefore be done with very good result; however, the results look far
  13. better than (for example) Spectrum emulations could ever hope for.

  15. In fact, some MSX games are on par with Amiga games when it comes to
  16. graphics and playability! Several MSX pictures have been uploaded to aminet
  17. (pix/illu/msx_emu.lha).

  19. Depending on the task at hand it is about as fast as a real MSX on my
  20. a4000/30, sometimes even a tad faster.

  22. All signifant MSX1 features are being supported. Since the bug in high-speed
  23. mode has finally been removed I have labelled this version 1.0.

  25. In this version, many MSX2 features are supported, and some MSX2 games
  26. (though not all) are in fact playable: Metal Gear, Firebird, Vampire Killer
  27. and Kings Valley 2 MSX2 fall in this category.

  29. New features in this release include faster MSX2 emulation, many new video
  30. settings, and as stated: no more high-speed bug.

  33. in the documentation.
